If you haven’t seen this band, well the name says it all. Get on down here!
Run Come See is DC’s premier alt-country quartet, serving up classics and originals in their own unique style. Check out their website for more info on the musicians and some videos they’ve produced.
Here’s a video I really like. I’m just wondering how they got George Clooney to play the bar tender…
Crowd Wisdom is a quartet led by Dustin Stephenson-Reynolds, a saxophonist and composer living in Mt. Rainier, MD. Crowd Wisdom is eclectic: we do original music, jazz standards, and popular music covers (David Bowie, Tom Waits, D'Angelo). From time to time, we have even been known to play music from Brazil.
The evening’s music will be complimented by Chef AJ’s locally-made Veenies. For a full description of Veenies, check out the chef’s website at: http://justajsfoods.com/
You asked for it. And now you can get it. Hard Cider! Another fermented beverage at The Public Option. Don’t miss this release, ‘cause supplies are limited.
The creators of this elixir describe it as “Locally sourced and created by two DC Public school teachers in collaboration with The Public Option.” They’re giving us more credit than we deserve. But hey, we’ll take it.
The evening’s festivities will be complimented by Chef AJ’s locally-made Veenies. For a full description of Veenies, check out the chef’s website.
We are excited to announce the coming of the lively and gumptious musical duo Rakish to our humble stage. They also stun their audiences with honey-sweet vocal harmonies. Come join us for an intimate evening showcasing the sensitive genre blending music of this exceptional duo.
Also note that these two are Diner alums with the band Pumpkin Bread. If you enjoyed their last show then we're sure you'll enjoy what Rakish has to offer.

We are fortunate to have Chef Bharat bringing his unique cuisine to the P.O. Here how he describes it:
The main style of my food is "Indian BBQ"- a fusion of tex/mex and indian flavors. The meats are marinated , rubbed and slow smoked for 9 hours with White Oak ! All of the food has my custom spice blends and I mainly use coconut oil to cook with.
My influences are Virginia and NC style BBQ along with British Indian Restaurants ( BIR )- So the Smoking Country Indian is the result !!
The second Sunday of the month is fast approaching. And that means Vinyl Night. Our faithful MC, Joey Abrams (the Vinyl Knight himself) has announced that the theme will be "sound tracks."
As always, bring your selections on vinyl (lp's, 45's - Joey even plays 78's) and Joey will spin them. And be as creative as you like with the theme.
Emergent Disorder is the second book in Ralph Meima's trilogy exploring a future world struggling under the effects of a changed climate. Like the first book (Fossil Nation), Emergent Disorder wraps a provocative set of questions about where we are headed in a rollicking narrative of adventure and intrigue that is hard to put down.
We'll have a chance to talk with the author, and among ourselves, about the book and the path forward. And, by the way, it's inauguration day.
